Koldcast continually launches a plethora of shows onto the web: some good, some bad and some truly unique ones. Zerks Log is a blog-comedy from the point of view of an alien, and thus falls under the later category.
After all, you don’t get to see a web show actor don a well-done alien face-mask everyday.
Told entirely from the log entries of the self-proclaimed ‘Captain Fantastic’ Zerks Ganymedewski, we will follow the mystery of what happened to the Captain and his ship in 18 episodes. We hardly ever see any other crew members, but Zerks acknowledges them off-screen, and as the show progresses we realize just how incompetent he really is.
Since the sets are very simple — a single green-screen room marvelously transformed into a spaceship-bridge — the crew could spend more time on the alien mask and the script. This elevates the show to a consistent quality that is fun to watch. The show is still in its initial run, so come back soon to follow further blog entries.
And just ignore the peek-holes under the Zerks eye’s skin-folds.
