The League is a comedy about two bumbling hit-men and their general misadventures. There is the obligatory double act of two uneven characters playing off each other, but it’s more Dean Martin and Jerry Luis than Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.
The episodes are unexpectedly long (up to 20 minutes, sitcom-style) and although there is a strong indie feel to the show and production quality, the writing and acting is actually quite good. There are continuing storylines that carry over into multiple episodes and keep you hooked. Even the various one-off actors are of quality and lend the simple, yet fun show consistency.
The length makes it a bit prohibitive for a web series quicky at work while your boss refills his coffee, and a few minor jokes may be unsuitable for mom, but on the whole this looks like a fun show to follow!
